报告人简介：

Dr. Xiaohu Gao received his Ph.D. degree in bioanalytical chemistry from Indiana University in 2004. He is a professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington. His research interest spans over biomedical nanotechnology, molecular engineering, molecular imaging, and therapeutics.

报告摘要：

For decades, bionanotechnology and nanomedicine have promised a "quantum leap" for disease diagnosis and treatment. Intense research has delivered some of the initial promises for diagnosis but still has a long way to go to make a real difference for patients, especially in disease treatment. In this talk, I would like to discuss with you what we have learned so far as well as future opportunities with the hope to expedite the delivery of the initial lofty promises.
